How it works

Five weeks from start to launch.

A tight, predictable process. You know exactly what happens each week, what we need from you, and when you’ll see real progress.

Week 1
Discovery

Kickoff call plus a short intake questionnaire.

Week 2
Design

Color palette, typography, and homepage mockup.

Week 3
Content

We write every word. You review and approve.

Week 4
Build

We assemble the site. You get a preview link.

Week 5
Launch

Final QA, Google setup, go live, short walkthrough.

Here’s what each week actually looks like.

Every week has a clear deliverable from us and a clear ask from you. Nothing is open-ended.

1

Week 1 — Discovery

We do: A 30-minute kickoff call. We send the intake questionnaire and a short style direction document with two or three palette/typography options based on what you tell us.

You do: Fill out the intake form (about 10 minutes) and tell us which design direction feels closest. Send us any photos you already love.

2

Week 2 — Design

We do: Lock the colors, type, and layout based on Week 1 feedback. Mockup of the homepage and one inner page. You get a preview link.

You do: Look at the mockup. Tell us what feels right and what doesn’t. We expect one round of revisions here — that’s the design crucible.

3

Week 3 — Content

We do: Write every line of copy. Pages, services, FAQ, footer — all of it. We work from the intake and the kickoff call. We source photography (or coordinate a shoot if needed).

You do: Read the copy. Mark anything that’s wrong, missing, or sounds off. Edit freely — you know your business better than we do.

4

Week 4 — Build

We do: Wire everything up. Forms, navigation, mobile breakpoints, Google Business Profile schema, contact details, analytics. You get a full preview link for the final review.

You do: Click around. Test on your phone. Have a family member or employee click around too — fresh eyes catch what trained ones miss.

5

Week 5 — Launch

We do: Final QA, domain setup, SSL, Google Business Profile linkup, Google Search Console verification, redirects from your old site if needed. We go live and run a launch checklist.

You do: Tell your customers. We’ll do a 20-minute walkthrough call after launch so you know where to look for analytics, where to email change requests, and how the maintenance relationship works.

Long enough to do it right. Short enough to actually finish.

Most agencies stretch a small-business build into three to six months. Not because it’s harder — because that’s how long it takes a team of five to schedule the meetings. Five weeks is what the actual work takes when one person does it on a tight timeline with clear weekly deliverables.

Two weeks would mean cutting copywriting corners or skipping the design crucible. Ten weeks gives the project room to drift — revisions creep, momentum fades, and three months later nobody remembers what was originally decided. Five weeks holds the line on both ends.

The relationship doesn’t end at week five.

The monthly fee covers everything most agencies bill extra for. Here’s how it works once your site is live.

Email a request, we do it

Hours change? New service? Seasonal banner? Send the change to hello@keystone-sites.com — we reply within one business day.

Monthly performance report

A one-page email each month: search visibility, top pages, what changed. Plain English. No vanity metrics.

Google Business Profile care

We monitor your profile, post updates, respond to review prompts, and flag changes that affect your local-search ranking.
